are David & Laurie Mesch. David was raised
in San Antonio and I in New Braunfels. Work
took us away from the hill country for
several years but we finally made it home in
2002! We have 4 wonderful children and have
been recently been blessed with a grandson.
David built homes for a living until the
economy crashed. I have worked as a
veterinary technician for 11 years. I just
recently left the clinic I was working for
to help David with the cabins and to open a
pet grooming/boarding facility here to
accommodate our animal loving guests.
We built our first cabin (The Lookout) in
2008 as a guest cabin for friends and
family. One day Mike Tanger, the owner of
Alamo Springs Cafe, called us and asked if
we would be willing to rent out our cabin to
one of his patrons. Since that faithful day
we have built 4 more cabins! We have been
truly blessed. God always opens a door when
the other closes another.
There are 15 wooded acres here with an
amazing view! Don't be surprised by all the
animals here also. We have several chickens
which provide fresh eggs for all our guests,
a Donkey named Fonzi because he is so cool!
A miniature horse named Cookie. Two Nigerian
dwarf goats named Thelma and Louise. And
soon to be added to our family two Zebu
cows. Also we have Mr. Bojangles. He is our
little SPCA rescue dog. "Bo" loves to greet
all our quests with a little bark. He is
very friendly and loves children.
The Lord has truly blessed us with such an
amazing opportunity to share all that He has
provided for us. We hope to see you soon and
pray that you are also blessed with your
See You Soon!!
