Howdy again! Rhonda & Carl here from Walnut Canyon Cabins! We just have to tell you about one of our absolute favorite spots in Fredericksburg Becker Vineyards. If you’re planning a trip here, especially for the 26th Annual Lavender Festival on April 26th and 27th, you have to check it out. It’s one of those places that just feels magical, and we love having it right here in our backyard.
Becker Vineyards was established in 1992, and it has truly become a standout in the Texas wine scene. It’s tucked away on over 300 acres of land, with 56 acres of gorgeous grapevines. But what makes Becker extra special is the setting. The winery is housed in a stunning 19th-century German stone barn reproduction, which gives it a cozy, historic charm. Picture this: you’re walking through lavender fields, the sun is shining, and you’re surrounded by the soothing scent of lavender. It’s honestly one of the prettiest spots we’ve ever seen, and it’s the perfect backdrop for any event—especially the Lavender Festival.
The tasting room is just as inviting, with a warm and welcoming vibe, featuring a big, working stone fireplace and a gorgeous antique bar. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine while soaking in the beauty of the vineyard. And the wines? They’re top-notch. Each vintage is aged in new French and American oak barrels, then stored in their underground wine cellar or Barrel Room. You’ll taste the quality in every sip.
