• Continue on I-35 S for 77 miles to I-14/US-190
• Take I-14/US-190 about 46 miles and connect to US-281.
• Head south on US-281 for about 88 miles toward Johnson City.
• In Johnson City, merge onto US-290 W toward Fredericksburg.

2. On US- 290 W towards Fredericksburg:

• About 30 miles after Johnson City, you will pass RM 1376.
• About ¼ mile past RM 1376, turn left onto Cain City Road.

3. Follow Cain City Road for about 3 miles:

• Until you reach a stop sign at Cain City-Luckenbach Road.

4. Turn Right onto Cain City-Luckenbach Road:

• Drive on Cain City/Luckenbach Road about 1.5 miles

5. At the stop sign, Turn Left onto Old San Antonio Road (Old #9):

• Continue on Old San Antonio Road for about 5 miles until you reach Old Tunnel State Park.

6. Turn Left on Alamo Road:

• Drive for about 1 ½ miles.

7. Turn Right on Deer Road:

• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you will find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.

8. Arriving at Walnut Canyon Cabins:

• Follow the driveway to the left past the corral to the big house at the bottom of the driveway.
• Ring the bell and say hello!

1. Start on I-35 S to Austin, TX To US 290 W:

• About 200 miles

2. Take TX-71 West/US 290 W:

• Stay on Hwy 290 W for about 36 miles until you reach
  US- 281 toward Johnson City.

3. Merge Right onto US- 281/HWY 290 for about 6 miles until you reach Johnson City:

• Turn Left at the traffic light onto Hwy 290 W toward Fredericksburg.

4. On HWY 290 W towards Fredericksburg:

• About 30 miles after Johnson City, you will pass RM 1376.
• About ¼ mile past RM 1376, turn left onto Cain City Road.

5. Follow Cain City Road for about 3 miles:

• Until you reach a stop sign at Cain City-Luckenbach Road.

6. Turn Right onto Cain City-Luckenbach Road:

• Drive on Can City/Luckenbach Road about 1.5 miles

7. At the stop sign, Turn Left onto Old San Antonio Road (Old #9):

• Continue on Old San Antonio Road for about 5 miles until you reach Old Tunnel State Park.

8. Turn Left on Alamo Road:

• Drive for about 1 ½ miles.

9. Turn Right on Deer Road:

• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you will find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.
• Follow the driveway to the left past the corral to the big house at the bottom of the driveway.

• Stay on US 290 W about 36 miles until you reach US-281 toward Johnson City.

2. Merge Right onto US- 281/US 290 for about 6 miles until you reach Johnson City:

• From Houston, get on US- 290 West for about 150 miles

1. Take I-10 West:

• From Houston, take I-10 West toward San Antonio.

2. Continue on I-10 through Boerne to Comfort, TX:

• Drive through Boerne and continue to Comfort.
• Take Exit 524 into Comfort.

3. Follow the Road into Comfort:

• About a mile off I-10, you’ll come to a “V” in the road with a gas station in the middle.
• Stay to the right onto Hwy 87.

4. Turn Right onto HWY 473:

• At the first traffic light, turn right onto Hwy 473 toward Sisterdale.

5. Stay Left onto Old Number 9:

• After 4.5 miles, stay left onto Old Number 9 toward the Old Tunnel State Park.

6. Turn Right on Alamo Road:

• At the Old Tunnel State Park, turn right onto Alamo Road and drive for about 1 ½ miles.

7. Turn Right on Deer Road:

• Turn right onto Deer Road.
• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you’ll find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.

1. Take I-10 Eastbound:

• Toward San Antonio for about 457 miles.

2. Exit I-10 at exit 477 onto US- 290 toward Fredericksburg: If you wish to stop in Fredericksburg before arriving at the cabins, take the exit for Hwy 290 toward Fredericksburg:

• Follow US 290 for 40 miles into Fredericksburg.

3. Continue on US 290 Eastbound (this is Main Street in Fredericksburg):

• Drive through Fredericksburg on US-290 toward Austin.
• Just past the Walmart and the Hill Country Campus of Texas Tech, turn right onto Old San Antonio Road.

4. Follow Old San Antonio Road:

• For about 10 miles until you reach the Old Tunnel State Park.

5. Turn Left on Alamo Road:

• On Alamo Road, drive about 1 ½ miles.

6. Turn Right on Deer Road:

• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you’ll find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.

7. Arrive at Walnut Canyon Cabins:

• Follow the driveway to the left past the corral to the big house at the bottom of the driveway.

1. Stay on I-10 Eastbound:

• Continue on I-10 Eastbound until you reach Comfort, TX.

2. Exit onto HWY 87 toward Fredericksburg:

• Take Exit 523 for US-87.
• At the bottom of the off-ramp, turn right onto US-87.

3. At the next light, Turn Left onto FM/RM 473:

• FM/RM 473 toward Sisterdale.

4. Stay Left onto Old Number 9:

• After about 4.5 miles, stay straight or left onto Old Number 9 Road toward the Old Tunnel State Park.

5. Turn Right at the Old Tunnel State Park onto Alamo Road:

• Take Alamo Road for about 1 ½ miles.

6. Turn Right on Deer Road:

• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you’ll find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.

7. Arrive at Walnut Canyon Cabins:

• Follow the driveway to the left past the corral to the big house at the bottom of the driveway.

Get on US 281 towards Blanco and Johnson City approximately 40 miles until you reach Blanco

1. Continue another 17 miles on US 281 until you reach Johnson City, It will become US 281/US 290

2. In Johnson City, at the traffic light turn Left onto US 290 West:

• Heading towards Fredericksburg.

3. Travel on US HWY 290 approx 25 Miles just past FM 1376

4. Turn Left onto Cain City Road

5.In about 3 miles Turn Right onto Cain City-Luckenbach Road

6. At the next stop sign, Turn Left onto Old San Antonio Road (Old #9)

• Continue for about 5 miles until you reach Old Tunnel State Park.

7. At the Old Tunnel State Park, Turn Left onto Alamo Road:

• Drive for about 1 ½ miles.

8. Turn Right onto Deer Road:

• Continue on Deer Road for about 1 ½ miles.
• Just past Walnut Road on your right, you’ll find 503 Deer Road and Walnut Canyon Cabins.

9. Arrive at Walnut Canyon Cabins:

• Follow the driveway to the left past the corral to the big house at the bottom of the driveway.
