"Delightful weekend stay, great hosts. The cabin was fantastic and the hosts were so accommodating. They provided flowers and my wife’s favorite ice cream during our stay. There was corn to feed the deer, who will come right into the yard. And Fredericksburg shopping, wineries, and breweries are maybe 1/2 hour away. The cabin was spotless, well equipped and we enjoyed the observation deck on the roof. Would highly recommend Walnut Canyon Cabins!"

"Amazing cabin for views and wildlife. Hosted by a very special couple where nothing was too much trouble. What an amazing place to stay, the best cabin we’ve ever stayed in 😍 we stayed in The Woods cabin and it was exactly as described by the most wonderful hosts - Carl & Rhonda. It had everything you needed included the fixings for breakfast which included eggs from the free range hens on the property. We could not tear ourselves away from the magnificent views and wildlife. Feeding the deer with the corn provided was addictive and they have such beautiful eyes. They were kind enough to loan us a hummingbird feeder and within 20 minutes we had visitors !! Of course we also enjoyed feeding the cows with their treats too. Thank you Carl & Rhonda for such amazing hosts it was a blessing to meet you and enjoy just a few days tranquility on our Texas road trip"

"Great getaway at the Milkyway First off, the property owners were amazing and super accommodating and friendly. Everything was as described or better. Very clean and comfortable with just the right amount of privacy and quiet for a quick getaway. We stayed in the milky way cabin which shares a hot tub with another cabin but we had it all to ourselves when we went to use it. We actually extended our stay bc we liked the cabin so much. All amenities and details are super thoughtful from local breakfast items and coffee to deer corn and cow treats to feed the animals on property. There was very clear information for the cabin and surrounding areas which was super helpful- they thought of everything! Would def return."

"Probably the best and most fun place i have ever stayed in the USA! This was our second time visiting Carl and Rhonda at Walnut Canyon Cabins and it was just as fun and memorable as the first time. We were in Fredricksburg for our daughter's wedding and Carl and Rhonda were so much help, they graciously accepted the flowers that arrived for our florist (who was also staying there) and they helped by putting them in water until we could return from errands for the wedding in town. Carl and Rhonda are fun, helpful and always willing to take the kids to gather eggs. They feed the deer in the evening which is also a sight to see! We hope to be back soon! Thanks Carl and Rhonda!"

"A Pleasant Stay I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone. The cabin was a comfortable size and was immaculate. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and immediately took care of any small issues, such as, a burned out lightbulb. The surrounding area was breathtaking and it was fun to feed and watch the deer. It was a little distance from Fredericksburg, but that wasn't much of a problem. Overall, I would be happy to stay at this facility, again."

"Off Grid Paradise If you are looking for a place to relax off the grid, yet close enough to the Fredericksburg restaurants, wineries and other area attractions, this venue is a hidden gem. The owners are very accommodating and attentive to make sure all needs are met. As an example, the only TV in the Woods Cabin is via antenna. When the owner found out I was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan and the playoff game was that evening, he checked to see if I was getting a good signal, and if not, he invited us to come to his personal residence to watch the game. That is what I call going the extra mile to care for guests. I highly recommend this venue."
