Just as the name says, this place is magical! Take the day to Hike and rock climb at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. This massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people and tourists for thousands of years. Be sure to make your reservation to experience this wonder of Texas!

Fredericksburg Trade Days

National Museum of the Pacific War

Discover the human story of WWII in the Pacific in a 55,000 square foot of exhibit space spread over many different galleries on six acres. It is the only museum of the Pacific War found anywhere in the world.

Old Tunnel State Park

The Old Tunnel State Park is a mere 3 miles from Walnut Canyon Cabins! It is the smallest State Park in Texas and home to up to 3 million Mexican Free Tail Bats that fly out nightly around sunset May to October to get food and water. We recommend the Lower observation deck. Tickets are required, so be sure to get them in advance or contact us to get them for you! Be sure to plan on arriving about 30 minutes early to hear the history and great facts presented by the Park rangers and volunteers. Fascinating information!
